Sculpted on a large, shed antler, "There's Always Next Year" depicts a small herd of elk spooked by a misplaced arrow. Embedded in the stump of an ancient tree, the arrow has missed the intended mark of the massive patriarch bull elk. This sculpture speaks of the ongoing cycles of nature and the part that we as humans play in the balance.
